Netbor is a Social Networking app that sorts other users by distance from you. The idea behind this app is that your best friend can be in your neighborhood, but you have never met them, because who goes door-to-door interviewing every person in their city? (maybe you do because you're awesome!). For the rest of us, this app is to help meet the people nearby you... It could be a friend, a plumber, or future romance... who knows?.. The app is for everyone. Netbor is for now, free, and we don't sell your data. We hope we can depend on the community to keep it up, We will be asking users for donations, once the payment feature has been activated.
Users can add hashtags to their biographies to make keywords searchable to other users.
For example: I love hiking. So, in my biography I might write " I love #hiking" and also write "#hike" somewhere else in my biography to be extra searchable. Now, lets say onther user is looking for someone else that likes hiking. That other users can now search "hiking" or "hike" and a list of people sorted by distance will appear who's profiles contain the words "hiking"/"hike".

Netbor does not share your data with anyone outside of the Netbor app and databases. Netbor uses Google's secure cloud firestore to store user information including profile information, locations, emails, and passwords. The privacy of Netbor is limited to the Google firestore agreement. Netbor does not have access user passwords. The system is designed to protect your data. However, we ask that users do not input sensitive information during the beta trials as security features are still being tested.
Payments:
Donation payments are processed by Stripe. Netbor does not have access to credit card information. We do not store sensitive credit card information in Firestoreservers. Netbor's credit card and payment privacy relies on Stripe privacy policies.
Location:
Netbor does store user locations. in order to function properly. However, this data is not shared to anyone outside Netbor. WARNING: although remote, we put security measures in place, it maybe possible for malicious users to hack the system and identify your precise location..For beta testing, we are performing a controlled limited release of the app to help mitigate the risk of malicious attacks.
